Quoted for your business, not read off a table

One shop and a twenty branch group are not the same amount of work, so they are not the same price. What follows is exactly how a quote is put together, so nothing about it is a surprise.

The commercial model

Two separate things, and only one of them recurs

This trips people up, so it is worth being blunt about it. Your licence and your service are not the same purchase.

Already bought

Your lifetime licence

A one-time purchase you have already made. It is yours permanently and nothing on this page changes it.

  • Paid once, owned outright
  • Does not expire and does not renew
  • Unaffected if you ever stop the managed service
  • Includes the software itself, on every version

This page

Managed Cloud service

An ongoing fee for the work of running it: updates, backups, security, certificates, monitoring, domains, branding and priority support.

  • Renews on one date, with one invoice
  • Priced for your business after a conversation
  • Covers work performed by our team, every month
  • Stoppable, with your data exported in full
What shapes your quote

Five things we ask about, and why

None of these is a trick question. They are the things that genuinely change how much work your account is.

How many locations you run

More sites mean more configuration, more users to look after and more moving parts to watch. It is the single biggest factor.

How many people use it

A team of four and a team of ninety need different amounts of support, training and account administration.

How much you trade

Transaction volume shapes how often copies need taking and how closely the service needs watching at peak.

What has to be brought across

Moving years of history from an existing system is real work. Starting clean is not. We tell you which one you are before quoting.

What you need beyond the standard

Longer retention for an audit requirement, an unusual integration, or a stricter response target. If you need it, we price it rather than pretending it is free.

Included in every quote

There is no cheaper tier that leaves out the important parts

Every Managed Cloud customer gets all of it. We do not sell backups as an upgrade.

  • Every software update, tested against your configuration and applied for you
  • Automated off-site backups, and restores performed by our team on request
  • Security hardening, patching and access review
  • SSL certificates issued and renewed ahead of expiry
  • Continuous availability and performance monitoring
  • Your own domain connected, verified and kept valid
  • Full white label branding across screens, documents and email
  • Priority support with a named contact, by phone, email and portal ticket
  • Setup, data migration and a proper handover session
  • Full data export, whenever you want it, including if you leave
What you will not be charged for

The invoice has one line on it

Managed services get a bad name from itemised bills that grow every quarter. Ours does not work that way.

  • A percentage of what you sell. We take nothing from your transactions
  • Certificates, billed separately from the service that needs them
  • A charge for asking us to restore your own data
  • A support fee per ticket, or per phone call
  • An upgrade fee when a new version of Stockovaa is released
  • A charge to export your data if you decide to leave

Everything we do commit to is written into your agreement. Read the service level agreement before you sign anything.

Questions

What people ask about the cost

Including the one everybody thinks but does not say.

Because a single figure would be wrong for most of the businesses reading it. The work involved in a single shop and a twenty branch group is genuinely different. Tell us about your business and you get a real number rather than a starting-from figure that changes on the call.

Send us an access request with the basics about your business and we will come back to you. Most quotes need one conversation first, because the honest answer depends on what has to be migrated.

It depends on how much has to be brought across from an existing system. We tell you before you commit to anything, and it appears in the quote rather than on a later invoice.

On a single renewal date with a single invoice, visible in your portal along with the payment history. Your renewal terms are set out in your agreement.

Your lifetime licence is unaffected and stays yours. We export your data in full and hand it over. We would rather you left with everything than stayed because leaving was difficult.

Talk to us. Payment terms are part of the quote conversation, and we would rather discuss it with you than publish a rule that does not fit your business.
